Backyard Cinema Contest

GFF is bringing the movies to your backyard with the new BACKYARD CINEMA CONTEST thanks to our long-time partner RBC! One lucky winner each week will be able to experience GFF’s 2020 film lineup via an outdoor movie experience. This experience includes a free backyard movie screening by Bulldog Music, a free pass to GFF 2020 with over 130 films to choose from, and extra movie snacks and goodies! An outdoor theatre kit will be shipped to winners further than 100kms from Winnipeg.

To enter, like, comment on our Facebook or Instagram and tell us what movie you’re most excited to see at GFF 2020, and tag the friends you want to share this special Backyard Cinema experience with! Remember, public health guidelines must be followed at all times for a safe backyard viewing experience!

Fans have three opportunities to win! The Backyard Cinema Contests will be held Wednesday, July 1, 8, and 15. Each draw closes at noon on July 3, 10 & 17 and a winner will be randomly selected. Winners will be awarded their Backyard Cinema installations July 23, 24, and 25 during GFF’s 2020 online festival.

Additional Backyard Cinema Contest Rules:

 

  • Contest open to all MB residents.  Exceptions are that employees and the immediate family members of RBC or GFF are ineligible.

 

  • If the winner is within 1 hour  from Winnipeg, Bulldog Music will set up the backyard movie.

 

  • If the winner is NOT within the Bulldog Music serviceable area, then an outdoor theatre kit will be shipped to the winner. You can still enjoy the special Backyard Cinema Experience – you will just need to set it up yourself.  The kit will be yours to keep.

 

  • Each winner and their backyard guests will be asked to sign a photo waiver.  A professional photographer may stop by to briefly take photos of the Backyard Cinema evening and photos may be used for promotional purposes.

 

  • A “rain date” will be considered if the backyard screening party cannot happen on the intended dates previously arranged with Bulldog Music.  All efforts will be made to arrange an alternate date suitable to all parties.
