2021 GFF Passes On-Sale NOW!


GIMLI, MANITOBA – June 1, 2021. The Gimli Film Festival (GFF) announced at Noon CDT that Passes are on sale for GFF’s second annual virtual Festival: GFF On Demand fuelled by Red River Co-op.

This summer, GFF is giving film lovers an opportunity to watch even more films with a brand-new Super Pass and an extended runtime of two full weeks, July 12-25. Tune in from your bed, shed, yard, or boulevard this summer with GFF On Demand, GFF’s on-demand, Netflix-styled film streaming platform fuelled by Red River Co-op . Buy a Regular Pass for $70, or upgrade your Festival experience with GFF’s all-new Super Pass – on sale for $90.

This summer, unlock more content at the Gimli Film Festival, with the GFF On Demand Super Pass! GFF’s Super Pass includes unlimited film screening unlocks, exclusive workshops and events, as well as an interactive VIP Opening Reception in a virtual Town of Gimli.


New at GFF 2021!

GFF is adding new interactive events to the Festival this year, with a special Take 5 Workshop Series with Film Training Manitoba and Manitoba Film and Music. Sharpen your filmmaking skills and learn more about storytelling through the eye of the camera with Take 5’s panel discussions, workshops and Q&A’s led by local filmmakers.

Keeping in the interactive and virtual vein, GFF powers up with an all-new VIP Opening Reception powered by Gather. Stroll by the beach on the virtual boardwalk or enjoy an exclusive concert at the virtual Ship & Plough in a top-down, video-game-inspired Town of Gimli in the company of other Festival-goers.


Regular Passes can also be purchased on the GFF Passes Page for $70 and will be limited to the usual 20 film screenings.

Individual movie tickets can be purchased by anyone across Canada, but some of the films may be geo-locked to Manitoba only.

Individual tickets will go on sale at the Festival start date, from July 12-25 for $8 on the GFF Passes Page.


RBC Sunset Drive-In Theatre!

For those craving a safe outdoor experience this summer, GFF is excited to announce its first-ever contactless RBC Sunset Drive-In Theatre. GFF’s first-ever Drive-In Theatre will tentatively run from July 21-25 in Pavilion Park in the Town of Gimli with nightly 10 pm screenings.

Drive-In ticket registration begins July 3, at Noon CDT and tickets can be purchased for $15 per vehicle.

GFF is aware of the ongoing COVID-19 developments in Manitoba and will align its procedures with the evolving public health and safety orders to keep its community safe – above all.
